The Nix Company Turns FIVE
The Nix Company recently celebrated its fifth anniversary, and I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the last five years and share some thoughts with you.
Trusting the Process:
As the founder of The Nix Company (previously known as NIXcreative), I started this journey as a one-woman show. I wasn't sure if this would be a consulting gig, a design agency, or if it would even stick. But five years later, we have grown into a full-service marketing agency serving retail, food and beverage, CPG, and women-owned businesses across the country. It has been quite a journey!
Succeeding in Social Media Means Evolving:
Social media is constantly changing and evolving, and a strategy developed even just two years ago may not succeed in today's market. At The Nix Company, we understand that the key to success in social media is to always be evolving. We have been fortunate enough to have clients who trust us to stay on the cusp of trends and evolve with the market. (And no, TikTok isn’t going anywhere!)
Digital Marketing is Here to Stay:
2020 was a difficult year for many businesses, including ours. We lost our largest international client at the peak of the pandemic. However, the pandemic also highlighted the importance of social and digital media for businesses, especially during lockdowns. Through hard work and determination, we were able to double our business and prove the value of social media in today's market. In fact, according to Statista, the pandemic led to a 10.9% increase in social media users worldwide in 2020.
Building a Dream Team:
Bragging rights granted here: I am proud to say that The Nix Company now has a dream team - a team of six full-time employees and four creative contractors. Hiring the right people for the right job has always been a top priority for me. Each team member brings a unique force to the agency, and I aim to empower them to grow within the agency as we continue to expand. Our company culture prioritizes creativity, collaboration, and cultivating strong relationships within and outside of the agency.

Over the last five years, we have been fortunate to work with some of the best clients. Our clients value collaboration, understand the importance of a strong social and digital presence and strive to create unique experiences to drive traffic and build brand advocates. We are grateful for our client partnerships and look forward to continuing to work together.
